Sure, it is fascinating to be able to take a glimpse of the home of Sherlock Holmes in Baker Street, but if you do not really want to have a love affair with the road traffic and the congested scenery, you better just head for Regent’s Park, the largest grass are for sporting activities in London. The place is like a whiff of fresh air and there are other places worth visiting which are just a walking distance away from the park.

Taking the whole family for a family date in Regent’s Park is also a good idea. Near the southern part of the park, close to Portland Street tube station and Baker Street, you can take the children for an exciting play time at the children’s playground.

While the children are busy climbing trees and having fun with other kids, you can relax for a while at a nearby cafe at the south side of Regent’s park for some peaceful moments. If you want to have a bonding time with your children, go to the London Zoo on the northern part of the place. You can go around easily inside the zoo because the size is just enough for a short tour to view animals with the kids. It is not exhausting and is just a short walk from the Park, Baker Street and Great Portland tube station.

Regent’s Park is open from 5 am but closing time depends on the month or season of the year. Parking time is available from 7am. From Monday to Saturday, you will be charged £2.40 per hour parking fee  with a four hour maximum limit, while on Sunday and holidays, park charge drops to £1.40 per hour, and the maximum stay limitation is disregarded.

After relaxing at the park, if you are a tourist and wants to have a pleasant road walk, try passing through the Marylebone High Street that extends from Euston Road all the way to Oxford Street in London. Start the journey from Euston Road, located between Regent’s Park tube station and Baker Street. You pass through coffee stops for breaks and pubs for meals. For a change in scenery and a little thrill, drop by the church park and check out the old gravestones. If you like shopping, you can visit shops where most of the locals buy clothing and other goods.

Whether you go as a family or alone, indeed, there is something for you in London.

It is worth making a check list of all the amenities you require and then do some research as to what they have on offer. When you are looking to tick off all the boxes on your check list it is wise to look at the UK holiday parks that are spread around the country first.

This is because they are perfect for families looking to take a family holiday and looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of every day life for a long weekend. Family weekend breaks have proved to be very popular and with the number of deals and offers available you will be able to find one for you and your family to enjoy and make the most of. One of the reasons why the holiday parks are loved so much by families is because of the range of sports and activities they provide as it means that nobody ever has time to get bored. Football, table tennis, basketball, kwik cricket and rounders are all sports that are played at the holiday park with prizes for the winners.

If you have kids then they are well catered for with a range of sports and activities for them to enjoy including a funfair and mini funfair for the under 5s, shows including their favourite characters and a nursery for them to meet some new friends and for the parents to get some time to themselves. The nurseries are supervised by trained and qualified staff members so you can rest assure that your children are being looked after as well as having fun at the same time.
