London is one of the world’s most cosmopolitan cities – some even call it a mini version of the world, with its mix of cultures, traditions, the old and the new, the traditional and the contemporary. Cambridge: Just a short 50 minute train ride from King’s Cross train station is the glorious city of Cambridge. Not only does it now have royal connections, with the newly appointed Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, but its long been known the world-over for its spectacular universities. These Gothic style college buildings are the city’s foundations, but make sure to check out the River Cam and try your hand at punting – it’s harder than it looks! Brighton: Less than hour away is the kiss-me-quick town of Brighton, where cool Londoners head for the weekend. This seaside extravaganza is a snapshot of what Britain’s seasides used to be like, with bars, a fairground pier and of course, many a fish and chip outlet! Brighton has a great arts scene, with Artists’ Quarters on the vibrant beach front and the Lanes, a labyrinth of antique shops, thrift stores and a few surprises along the way. Windsor: Just outside of the capital and not far from many cheap hotels, you’ll find Windsor, of which the castle is the official residence of the Queen. A royal home and fortress for over 900 years, the Castle is still a working palace and the largest and oldest occupied in the world. Be sure to take a visit around the State Apartments for priceless antiques and St George’s Chapel, home to the 14th Century Order of the Royal Garter.

Paris: A bit of a wildcard but easily do-able if you head out early from whichever of the hotels you’re staying in. It will be a long day, but is well worth it to see the Eiffel Tower, eat macaroons and take a look at the impressive Notre Dame. The Eurostar is the perfect place to catch a few winks on your way there so you’re bright eyed, bushy tailed and ready to say ‘bonjour’ to Paris.

Orlando, Florida is a city that is world renowned for being home to vast number of theme and amusement parks, especially the Walt Disney World.
